Infiltek designs and fabricates ASME gas filter vessels for natural gas, fuel gas and process gas streams. We build both vertical and horizontal configurations, with the choice driven by your gas flow rate, operating pressure, expected liquid load and the space available at site. Every vessel is built in our ASME U and UM stamped shop in Mississauga, Ontario, and supplied to customers across Toronto, the GTA, Ontario, the rest of Canada and internationally.
Vertical vessels suit dry and lightly wet gas where the liquid load is low and floor space is limited. Gas enters below the element mounting plate, passes through the filter elements and leaves clean at the outlet, with solids retained on the element and any collected liquid draining to the bottom head.
Horizontal vessels handle higher flow rates and heavier liquid loads. A first stage removes solid particulate, a second-stage coalescing section merges fine liquid aerosols into droplets, and the collected liquid falls into a sump or boot below the shell where it is drained or level-controlled.
Natural gas transmission and distribution, compressor station inlet and discharge protection, metering and regulation stations, fuel gas conditioning for turbines and engines, instrument and plant air, biogas and renewable natural gas, and petrochemical process gas.
What is the difference between a gas filter and a gas filter separator?
A dry gas filter removes solid particulate only. A gas filter separator removes solids in a first stage and coalesces and collects liquids in a second stage, draining them to a sump or boot, so it suits wet gas streams carrying condensate, water, compressor oil or glycol carryover.
Do you build horizontal and vertical gas vessels?
Yes. Vertical vessels suit smaller footprints and low liquid loads. Horizontal vessels with a liquid collection sump suit higher liquid loads and larger flow rates. We build both in our Mississauga shop and help you choose based on your gas flow, pressure and expected liquid volume.
Are your gas vessels ASME stamped?
Yes. Gas filter vessels are designed and built to ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and carry our ASME U or UM stamp. We are TSSA registered in Ontario and obtain Canadian Registration Numbers (CRN) for installations in other provinces.
What materials and pressure ratings are available?
We build gas vessels in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, with internal coatings where the service calls for it. Design pressure, temperature, corrosion allowance and flange class are set by your process conditions and piping specification.
Do you supply the gas filter elements?
Yes. We supply particulate and coalescing elements for new vessels and replacement elements for vessels already in service, matched by vessel model, element dimensions or part number.
