EI 1581 Filter Water Separator Vessels for Jet Fuel
Infiltek filter water separators remove free water and solid contaminants from jet fuel with a two-stage coalescer and separator element system. Housings are designed to EI 1596 for EI 1581 element categories, built and stamped to ASME Section VIII, Division 1, with Canadian Registration Numbers (CRN) available for installations across Canada.
Configurations
- Vertical housings for fuel farms and terminals where significant water and dirt are expected
- Horizontal Category C, Type S for commercial jet fuel
- Horizontal Category M, Type S for military fuels such as F-24, JP-8 and JP-5
- Horizontal Type S-LW for refuelers and mobile equipment
- Side-opening horizontal units with hinged manways where end access is limited
- Multi-element layouts sized to your flow rate and available space
Construction
- Stainless steel, aluminum or carbon steel, with EI 1541 interior epoxy coating on carbon steel housings
- Standard design pressure 150 psi at 250°F, with other ratings available
- Swing-bolt or hinged quick-opening closures with Buna-N O-ring seals
- Knife-edge element seals and support plates to prevent bypass
- Flanged or Victaulic connections with permanently marked inlet, outlet and drain
Accessories
- Automatic air eliminator with check valve and pressure relief valve
- Differential pressure gauge, water slug control valve and electronic water-level alarm
- Sample probes, drain valves, sight glass connections and immersion heaters
- Working platforms, ladders and head-lift for larger housings
Applications
